To achieve this, we meticulously select both mares and sires with exceptional bloodlines and a track record of success in the dressage world. Many of our chosen horses have even competed at the prestigious Grand Prix level, further emphasizing our commitment to breeding excellence.

Being involved in both veterinary and stud work allows us to achieve outstanding results in every aspect of the breeding process. With Eleri's extensive veterinary experience, encompassing the handling, breeding, and care of horses, we benefit from her valuable expertise at every stage of the Stud's operations. This integration of veterinary knowledge ensures that our breeding endeavors are supported by professional care and attention, with the added advantage of having a skilled veterinarian close at hand throughout the AI and breeding processes.

Eleri Jones
FOUNDER
Eleri studied Veterinary Science at the University of Liverpool. Eleri started as a Veterinary Assistant at Milfeddygon Dolgellau Vets in Gwynedd, before moving to Wern Vets in Ruthin and working her way up to Principal Vet and Partner. In addition to working at a busy veterinary practice and breeding Dressage Horses, Eleri has had two little boys. Eleri began her equestrian breeding career by successfully breeding and showing the beautiful and resplendent Welsh Mountain Pony breed. Their naturally elegant movement and majestic presence was part of the inspiration behind the vision of Kilan Dressage Stud.
